The EZ Witness tool contains two magnets. A magnetic field emanates about two and a half inches from the two flat sides and about one inch from the two narrow sides. Caution should be exercised to not place the tool close to items affected by a magnetic field. Items such as credit cards, room keys, parking tickets, and items such as these with a magnetic strip may be altered by the magnetic field of the tool if it is brought too close. The tool should not be put in a garment pocket where these items may be contained. The tool should be kept out of shirt pockets of those persons who have pacemakers as a precaution. The tool should also not be placed on external hard drives or expansion drives as a precaution to protect against a potential loss of data.
The tool may be carried on a plane. The TSA may require the tool to be placed in a bin and passed through the X-Ray scanner. It can be left in a jacket pocket that is passed through the X_Ray Scanner.
In case you are wondering, the tool doesn’t set off the theft protection devices commonly found at the entrance and exit of retail stores
A provisional patent has been filed with the US Patent office and the bottom side of the tool is designated “Patent Pending”
